Prophets, seers, and fortune cookies


Back in the day fortune cookies used to be so much more. They promised to transcend the ordinary and mundane with a privileged communication from beyond. Now, while they pretend to be wrapping themselves in the guise and name of a fortune cookie, they instead offer mere platitudes of good advice and cliches of self-improvement.
