  1. DC 49:18 whoso forbiddeth to eat meat is not ordained of God.

it's pleasing to the Lord to eat meat sparingly. Let's not take things to the extreme.

Ezra Taft Benson ENsign May 1983--A Principle with a Promise--beer is considered a strong drink because it is an alcoholic beverage, which I thought was obvious. It's not ok to drink beer.

i agree, scripturally it's wrong to ban meat completely. the scriptures said it is ok in times of need (which is defined as winter/famine). lucky for us, we aren't in need anymore. we can buy vegetables and grains any time of the year.

when the word of wisdom was written, beer was considered a mild drink. spirits, wines, whiskey, etc were strong drinks. i think beer can be problematic still and choose to avoid it.

thanks for your thoughts though. not sure why you choose to add it to this post though
