it's true. obama does hate america.
i was really excited about obama getting the democratic nomination (and clinton's upcoming concession), however, i have decided that i can no longer support him. a few months ago, erroneous e-mails have been circulating using this picture to show that obama is unpatriotic and hates america.
the email claimed that the photo shows obama refusing to place his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegiance. needless to say, i was infuriated. it was terrible enough that he didn't always wear his flag lapel (not wearing one is usually a clear sign that somebody hates america - which is why i usually wear two and always carry at least three spares). this unabashed display of repulsive unpatriotism and america-hatred, however, was going too far though. as soon as i finished reading that e-mail, i placed my hand over my heart and made an oath that i would never support barack HUSSEIN obama again.
a few weeks later though i discovered that the photo was not taken during the pledge of allegiance. rather, obama and his fellow candidates were photographed during the singing of the national anthem. i further found video that showed obama actually singing along with the national anthem while this photo was taken. my support for obama returned that day.
. . . until now.
just today i was having a conversation with bryant about holding one's heart during the national anthem. upon some research, i discovered that it is a national law, written into the united states code, that the right hand should be held over the heart during the national anthem.*
title 36 chapter 3 section 301b states:
wow. i was right the first time i rescinded my support for barack HUSSEIN obama. he is clearly violating national law when he is unpatriotically and america-hatingly refuses to place his right hand over his heart during the national anthem. i once again and forever am rescinding that support.(b) Conduct During Playing. - During a rendition of the national anthem -
(1) when the flag is displayed -
(A) all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart;
(B) men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold the headdress at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and
(C) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note; and(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face
toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the
flag were displayed.
however, upon searching for more information about our anthem (and in the spirit of mccarthyism), i have discovered more and more unpatriotic citizens of our country who hate america:
the los angeles lakers hate america
veterans and your neighbors hate america
city councilmen hate america (the guy in the circle especially hates freedom)
mormons hate america
older men hate america
some children hate america (future terrorists?)
this hispanic guy hates america
even george w. bush hates america**
**it could be the case that he does not hate america, but rather simply does not know where his heart is - or has a serious tummy-ache. either is highly probable.
i don't even know what to say....at the moment. but that was so funny!
ReplyDeletegood one. thanks for the laugh! So, I'm planning on putting an Obama sign and McCain sign out front since you temporarily moved in. Is that still a go or are you against the Muslim now? (jK)
ReplyDeleteHey, that is where his 'fact checker' is located. Also, the place where he recieves his revelations... or indigestion.
ReplyDeleteyou GO girl
ReplyDeletei think it's that he can't find his heart cause he lost it after 9/11. It disappeared somewhere. Probably between the blackhole where a soul would usually go and the WMD's he's been looking for. But then again, some WMD's would cause some major indigestion in the tummy if you tried to hide them there...
ReplyDeleteI think I just peeed my pants.
ReplyDeleteCan we leave the hispanic guy out of this? I am of Mexican descent and have a grandma that doesn't understand the words, and half the time doesn't even know what we are singing. Last time she started doing the macarena. Its not their fault.
ReplyDeleteOh this was beyond wonderful. But did you have to bring the Lakers into this? I guess it's understandable... Kudos
ReplyDeleteI especially liked the Lakers part, of course he had to.
ReplyDeletei just laughed out loud in class! thanks loydo
ReplyDeleteLOL

PS- there is a mormons for obama gathering on the 28th. Details on the Barack website.
That is one great work of art. I haven't laughed that hard in quite some time, I am very impressed, great jorb
ReplyDeleteIt is traditional for those performing (whether playing on an instrument or singing) the National Anthem not to put their hand over their heart. It would be very difficult for a violinist in the orchestra to place their over their heart while trying to play. (It takes two hands!) The same with the conductor of the same orchestra. Conductors typically use both hands. Maybe God should've given musicians three hands...
