why do you girls do this?
i haven't written for a few days. things with lacy have been going great. last night, we went out for a late drive. as we were driving she wrapped her arm around mine and later took my hand to hold it. when we got back, we sat outside my door for an hour or so and talked and cuddled. tonight at fhe, she almost completely ignored me and practically acted as if i didn't exist. i really didn't see her much afterwards. i just don't get it. i'm sure things will be back to all fine and dandy tomorrow.
Alright, Lacy sounds exactly like me. Let me set up the situation. Last December I asked my friend (no exboyfriend) Eric to go with me to my company Christmas party. At the party we ended up kissing and the whole car ride home we snuggled and held hands. The next morning I woke up and freaked out. It was Sunday, so I went to church and the whole three hours I was there I was really cold to Eric and didn't even really say hi. I didn't know what to do because I didn't think that I really wanted to date him (he was 19, I am 22, kind of robbing the cradle). He called me that afternoon and was like, "what the he** is going on with you." Then I realized that I was being retarded and I should just follow my heart and do what I want. We started dating after that. I'm sure she will come around. If she made the first move to hold your hand you're golden. Just make sure you call her some time today and let her know you aren't wigging out, because she might be.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think its because girls are evil.
ReplyDeleteIf that is the Bryant I think it is, I don't think you should take his advice about girls as it is tragically flawed.
ReplyDeleteHey, just 'cause I'm slightly evil myself doesn't mean that I'm not qualified to say when girls are evil. Takes one to know one....
ReplyDeletehey loyd, i think i agree with both katie and bryant. i've completely made the first move and then freaked out (hence our million discussions about me not wanting a boyfriend after i held your hand/kissed you/whatever)- really what girl hasn't at some point? What it meant for me, and what it probably means for her, is that she's not 100% sure she wants to be serious (by serious i mean a physical relationship and regular dating), but she is experimenting to see how it feels and if she likes it. Because she is now being weird doesn't mean she decided against it, it just means she is worried about you making assumptions or something when she's not sure yet. I would just talk to her, hopefully she'll be honest. Oh yes, and this IS a kind of evil, confusing thing girls do. sorry ;)
ReplyDeletei'm sure everything will work out!

Evil implies that she's trying to toy with you. I don't think that's the case. Perhaps she is, I don't know her, but I'd like to think that people are just trying to do their best. Maybe this is naive of me, but I would assume that she's just unsure. Relationships are tricky, and scary. This behavior will only hold you back if you don't ask her about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and if my sister and my friend could stop arguing, that would be nice.
Was that a fight? I don't think we were fighting. I mean, sure my personal integrity was challenged, but I'm not bitter.
